Trump Mocks Gillibrand As She Ends Her Presidential Campaign

Democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand has officially dropped out of the 2020 presidential race.

The New York senator made her official annoucement via Twitter

Today, I am ending my campaign for president. I am so proud of this team and all we've accomplished. But I think it’s important to know how you can best serve. To our supporters: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now, let's go beat Donald Trump and win back the Senate.

After more than eight incredible months I am ending my presidential campaign. I know this isn’t the result we wanted – we wanted to win this race,” Gillibrand said in her final campaign video. “But it’s important to know when it’s not your time and to know how you can best serve your community and country. I believe I can best serve by helping to unite us to beat Donald Trump in 2020.”

That's when President Trump decided to take a jab at Gillibrand on Twitter saying,

“A sad day for the Democrats,” Trump replied to the news. “Kirsten Gillibrand has dropped out of the Presidential Primary. I’m glad they never found out that she was the one I was really afraid of!”

Gillibrand struggled throughout her entire tenure as a candidate never gaining any real traction or doing anything to make herself stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Finally, she was unable to qualify for the upcoming DNC primary debate because she could not generate donations from at least 130,000 donors, nor was she polling at least 2% in at least 4 DNC approved polls.

It's honestly the right thing to do because if she hasn't even gained 2% at the polls at this point, then she likely doesn't stand a chance against others who are polling much higher than her.
